Last night, I snapped this picture of the sunset over the Rockies. I like the image, even though it belongs in a Michelob Ultra ad, which I have demonstrated below.
It was one of those moments where the camera is inadequate, as it should be. The cool valley breeze tilting the heads of dandelions, 270º of hazy indigo mountains falling away into opacity, and the last shreds of sunset bending over the Front Range. Then I realized that the back tire of my mountain bike was as flat as a pancake… The night concluded with a 57 minute walk back home, but who cares. The moon rose and I got to enjoy the crisp Colorado air, which I notice with gratitude, is without mosquitoes.
